Here are the answers to the questions that prospective volunteers ask most often. If your question is not here, call us or send a request.
Questions and answers
What is informed consent?
A volunteer receives information about all aspects of the study: methods, aims, procedures, duration, benefits and possible risks. After reading it in detail, the volunteer signs a special document — the informed consent form.
Who can take part in a clinical study?
Each study needs volunteers who match certain parameters — the inclusion and exclusion criteria, such as age, health condition and others. The criteria are set out in the protocol; the doctor will check them during the examination.
How does a study with volunteers work?
After a detailed discussion and the signing of informed consent, a medical examination is carried out. The participant then receives instructions and recommendations. Taking part means strictly following the protocol, whose conditions are explained by the study doctor.
Can I withdraw from the study after signing the consent form?
Taking part in a clinical study is voluntary throughout the whole period of the study. Tell the study doctor about your decision.
Do I have to stay at the clinic around the clock?
It depends on the protocol. In bioequivalence studies, participants usually stay in the in-patient unit during the periods when they take the medicine, and then come for a follow-up visit. The doctor gives you the exact schedule before you sign the consent form.
Is there any payment for taking part?
The terms of compensation are determined by each specific study and are stated in the informed consent.
Can I take part in several studies at the same time?
As a rule, no: the protocol usually limits taking part in other studies for a certain period. The doctor will clarify this during the examination.
Is taking part safe?
Every study carries risks, and the doctor explains them before you sign the consent form. The ethics committee reviews the study documents, and doctors supervise participants during the study.
What will happen to my personal data?
The clinic processes personal data in accordance with the law and with your consent; the details are in the personal data processing policy. On the website we ask only for your name and phone number; a doctor will discuss health information with you in person.
